Packing Suggestions
WINTER WEATHER | If you’re visiting in during the winter, you should bring some warm socks and some layers as the house is difficult to heat and can get chilly in the winter months. Slippers and/or warm socks are recommended.
WARM WEATHER | While the house has plenty of linens for the bedrooms, we have enough towels for one per guest. If you have a full house, and you expect to swim in the local watering holes, we recommend that you bring your own “river towel” so that you have a clean one for the shower.
More generally…
We will provide linens including pillow cases, sheets, a quilt, and one towel per person.
You don’t need to bring fancy clothes of any kind. This is mountain-living! Bring what you’ll be most comfortable wearing.
You’ll want to bring either PJs or a robe of some kind as there are shared bathrooms for guest bedrooms on the second floor.
We recommend a good pair of sneakers if you’d like to go hiking. The trails aren’t difficult, but if we do get any snow or ice, you’ll want something with some tread.
You should also pack toiletries like shampoo and conditioner, if you’re particular. There’s usually a rogue Pert Plus lying around, but we can’t vouch for what you’ll find in the house and the local market isn’t particularly well-stocked.
